Anyone using a cycling computer notice that insights tab is no longer available in last 2 weeks? I was told they no longer allow it unless you have a wearable device? It was working just fine with my Garmin edge.

I’ve got an Edge 830 and also noticed the insights are gone with software 4.57

Thanks for verifying it wasn’t an issue on my end. I communicated with 2 different people from Garmin about this bug. Apparently it’s not a bug. Somebody or a committee decided to nix Insights from cycling computers and made it available exclusively for wearable devices.I asked why they made that decision and they just kept repeating the same answer.  there won’t be any updates at  this time to bring it back to non wearable  devices.   I’m assuming it’s purely a profit-based decision. 

Well that sucks big time. I don’t have a wearable from Garmin. 
Still rocking Fitbit Charge 4, although with my track record that one should break within a month or six. I was interested in the Vivosmart 5, but that doesn’t have NFC payment or standalone GPS and I don’t want a full size watch.

I noticed that Insights disappeared with the recent update. Insights has been available on my Edge 520 since I bought it about 5 years ago. I called Garmin and was told that it was never supposed to be on the Edge series but only on wearables. I told them it seemed like a sales gimmick. I am angry. Shame on Garmin. This is not good public relations.

In july I wasted two weeks w a Support guy multiple emails trying to figure out missing Insights, and he never mentioned this. Poor support !
