Does anyone actually use Groups feature?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone actually uses the "Groups" feature in the app? It seems super primitive and was wondering if anyone used it? I can't figure out how to post to it from the app, can't start a challenge either. Is garmin getting rid of this feature or halted its development?

I use it. It works (mostly) all right in Garmin Connect Web, that I prefer as the interface anyway.

The app UI seems really old fashioned, I cant find groups, don't really know what to search. I like hiking and it doesn't really give much of a facebook group-like experience? Am I missing something?

The full functionality, like in many other cases, is available only in Garmin Connect Web, so if the basic functionality in the app does not fulfill your needs, try doing it on the web version.

Not really. I participate in three public local groups, and two own closed ones I created for friends. I'd tell that everyone has different preferences, so advising a group to anonymous people is really difficult. Search a group matching your interests, or a local one, where you can participate at events, or compete on segments, etc.

Im hoping they overhaul is and hire a good front end developer for it. It's really bad not fun to use
