How do I turn on mileage notifications? When I first received the Tactix it would notify me every mile as I walked, 1,2,3 etc, but not now? I have turned on 1 mile notifications, but it’s not the same as a running tally?

Not sure what exactly you mean by notifications. At each outdoor activity you can set up so called Auto-Lap. If you set it to the distance of 1 mile, it then beeps after each completed mile, and shows you the lap time. You can adjust the auto-lap distance in the settings of the Walk activity (long-press the Menu button, while the Walk activity is highlighted). You can also enable Audio-Prompts in Garmin Connect Mobile, if you wish to have the laps announced by voice.
