Suggestion Hydration widget

As someone who religiously wears the Vivo SQ and currently is receiving cancer treatment, I use the hydration widget daily to monitor my hydration levels so I am ready and prepared for various chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.

Having said that I see two (2) opportunities to improve the hydration widget: 

#1: allowing & showcasing data for WHEN someone input their data (I.e. cups) in a graph, so we can monitor daily intake. This prevents the user from just dumping/ inputting a total amount at one time. This creates greater accountability and enable the users to see trends, etc. 

#2: enabling ‘hydration’ notifications to reminder the user it’s time to drink. Reminders for getting active and hitting goals are already featured and this new addition could really help many people - not just specific cancer patients.

Just some thoughts on helping improve the apps!

  • I wholeheartedly agree that the widget should be able to display when the hydration occurred not just the amount taking into account sweat expenditure in logged activities:

    I would also like to suggest that this widget be updated to record more than one beverage e.g tea, coffee and water. I would also really like this data fed back into MyFitnessPal as well so I can accurately record number of cups of tea with milk on my watch rather than having to go into myfitnesspal which is too much of a faff for it to happen.

    A game changing addition would be to get into optimising of caffeine timing and dose throughout the day to suit peak awareness and selection of training times :- an example of an iOS phone app doing this is PeakAlert, reckon Garmin could revamp the hydration widget and do a much easier to use better version with good integration such as taking into account scheduled sleep periods to advise when to stop drinking caffeinated drinks for optimal sleep etc.
