Anyone else having trouble trimming an activity?

When I go to trim a run and select either total time, start or end and pull down to the appropriate number, the app sends it right back to the initial time given. For example, trimming the warm up off my run - I select 2 minutes as the actual start time, but the app will not let me and sends it back to 0 as the start. Anyone else?

  • Same for me over last few days.  Made the mistake of driving home from my run without stopping the activity - had to trim it on the website.  iPhone 8, iOS15.5, FR245Music.

  • Yes, it was already reported here on the forum. Trimming by distance is still possible (you may need to launch it twice, though). You can also trim it in Garmin Connect Web, in the time being, before a fixed app is available

  • Yeh me too - app refuses to allow trim of the time, but I found a workaround, it does allow me to trim on distance. Go into Trim activity and the default page is time, at the top of the screen you can select distance and I could trim that way and it saves properly.

  • Yes,  still having the problem.   I forget to stop my watch at the end of some activities so this is a feature I really like to use.  Hope they fix it soon

  • All,

We do have other reports of this and are currently investigating these reports.  Once we have any new information to share, I will be sure to post to this thread.

  • Same problem here. I try to set the trim start or trim end and the numbers in the scroll selector snap back to the first (for trim start) or the last (for trim end). I can change the seconds, but not the minutes. (Haven’t tried the hours because my activity was not over an hour).

  • I too am having trouble trimming a few minutes (driving away) from the end of my walk. The minutes and seconds keep snapping back to original values. I even tried chasing to running activity but same.

  • I cannot trim by time or distance.

  • Same here when trying to trim from end. Just got the watch and it’s very frustrating that this advertised feature does not work. I need the feature and was counting on it. Please fix!!

  • Trimming works for me in both modes. You just need to use two fingers. With one you keep the digit ring in the position, and with the other one you tap Done. If you cannot get it working even in this way, and really need to trim the activity, just use Garmin Connect Web, in the time being before the bug is fixed.
