Treadmill Calibration & Strava Does not Work (Vivomove Sport]

So I always have to calibrate my vivomove sport after a treadmill, it seems to lose or forget calibration every time. Treadmill regimen is exactly the same, multiple times a week so this is a little confounding. 

When it sends to strava it sends the mis-calibrated run. 

I try to calibrate mid-run but it stops the activity and saves the run. 

Is there somethingn I am doing wrong?

    Does the activity appear with the right distance in Garmin Connect? If so, the try exporting it (as "Original"), and then importing the fit file (inside the zip file) to Strava manually, to see whether it makes any difference. You may need to delete the first instance from Strava before importing it again.

    It appears in Garmin Connect after I calibrate and save, yes. Then the miscalibrated data gets sent to Strava. 

    I may have to start doing the manual export as you said. I know the vivomove sport is a cheaper model, so this isn't really a deal-breaker.
