Instinct 2 - Garmin pay not available

Hi

Just purchased the instinct 2 and installed the Garmin connect software on my IPhone.

I’m struggling with Garmin pay within the application. In that the option only appears when the Instinct 2 is on charge. 

When I try and setup Garmin pay when instinct 2 on charge it’s states not connected.  However when I take the instinct 2 off charge the Garmin pay option disappears. 

phone is on the latest IOS, Garmin connect latest version along with the Instinct 2.  

Ive tried unpairing, removing / adding the connect software back on but still the same issue. 

can someone help resolve this, I would have purchased the first one if I’d have know.  Laughing

    Yes, I do, and I think it is a wise thing to do before purchasing a device with plenty of features, when I do not see on the first look what the exact differences between the models are. And I also read reviews and comparative tests on independent 3rd party websites, to avoid unpleasant surprises like what happened to you. I can sincerely recommend doing the same, to everyone purchasing any similar device.

    I just bought the Garmin instinct 2 surf and it does not have an option to have Garmin pay either.

    Very strange because according to the specs the surf, solar do have it. 

    maybe needs an update
