I tried over and over to sync to Harmon connect, which has right wrist selectted. Why is the time upside down on the face of my watch?

Why don't you simply turn the watch upside down on the wrist? AFAIK, the setting left/right wrist is just for detecting the gesture, not for reversing the sense of the display. At least this is how it works on the devices I know. I am not familiar with Vivosmart 5.
Apple watch will turn the watchface, but that is not how it works for Garmin watches. For Garmin watches you always put the watch on the same way.
Why Apple do it is because it would otherwise be very odd do navigate the watch with the digital crown.
