Connect Mobile iOS is no longer displaying maps for my activities

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 15.4.

I have a Fenix 3 HR.

Connect is no longer displaying maps for any of my activities.

The last activity I have with a map was on 14 February. Everything after that there is no map displayed in the Connect App. This is odd because the app is still showing statistics such as distance and the elevation profile.

A likely reason is an expired or damaged ephemeris data file. Connect the watch with USB cable to the computer, and check for updates with Garmin Express. GPS cannot work reliably and quickly without fresh…

Further to this I tried deleting and reinstalling the app on my phone. This has not resolved the issue.

Are you at least seeing maps on Garmin Connect Web?

The activities are showing in garmin connect web, however I can't see a way to view maps for any of my activities in Garmin Connect Web (does connect web have a way to view maps of activities?).

Activities after 14 February won't import into Garmin Bascamp.

Yes. Go to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities

Click on the title of one of your activities

The activity will open to the full screen, and you should see a map

Can confirm that I cannot see maps for any of my activities after 14 February in Garmin Connect Web.

A likely reason is an expired or damaged ephemeris data file. Connect the watch with USB cable to the computer, and check for updates with Garmin Express. GPS cannot work reliably and quickly without fresh ephemeris data, and the download over Garmin Connect when you start the activity can easily fail, hence getting it over the cable from Garmin Connect is safer. Thanks. That seemed to resolve the issue.

Note - one symptom I noticed of this issue is that the breadcrumb trail map display on the watch wasn't updating whilst carrying out an activity. Deleting the EPO and resynching resolved this.
