Fenix 6X Sapphire - Pairing bug MacOS 15.1.1

I have been trying to set up and pair my old Fenix 6X Sapphire to my iPhone after a reset.
I discovered that I was able to pair it to another iPhone with an earlier iOS and complete the setup.
Rebooted the iPhone, reset the Garmin. Spent more than 5 hours today. Terrible user experience, but I digress...

Going back to my iPhone with MacOS 15.1.1, I went to simply pair it to the phone using the Connect app. The app recognized that I have the 6X setup in my account, but when it went to pair it fails after about 20 seconds ("Pairing Failed").

Is this a recognized bug?

I have all of the Focus modes OFF
The failure occurs after I get the pairing message in the app "fenix 6X Sapphire found!"
After clicking the "Connect it" button, there is no response from the "Connecting your fenix 6 sapphire" screen. No prompt with pairing code on the phone or field to enter the pairing code in the app

You may need to remove the watch from your Garmin Connect app AND from your iPhone's Bluetooth menu. Once you remove the watch from both, you can then re-pair.
