I’m doing the walk challenge and by mistake I erased one of my 8 mile walks. How can I add this to the walk challenge?

I mistakenly erased and 8 mile walk trying to look at the programming of the challenge. How can I add this 8 miles that I erased?

  • Erased off of your Garmin watch or from Garmin Connect? If you've just deleted the activity from Garmin Connect, you can do a manual upload to Garmin Connect Web - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

  • I am not sure. I know that I erase it from my watch by mistake and it did not record and my challenge. So I’m actually short 8 miles. I don’t know how to look it up on the phone I’ve tried but yet again I’m not able to recover that. Today I did a short walk a 2 mile walk and automatically it loaded up and showed that I went up to 40 miles but those 8 miles to make a difference for me considering the challenge. Any advice?

  • Whch Garmin model do you have? You'll need to connect your watch to a computer (Mac or PC). Then follow the directions in the link I posted. Check the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder to see if there are any .FIT files corresponding to the date of your walk. If deleted from your watch, that is a little more complex, but possible. Likely will be corrupt even if recovered, since you've done another activity, which could overwrite the deleted file.
