Can't get rid of new "Welcome to Connect" card

Can't get rid of new "Welcome to Connect" card ver 4.49.0.25

  • Turned phone off & gone now back on 

  • I did an edit your day. 
    I removed everything, then replaced stuff I wanted like pulse and steps etc.  Then saved. The welcome has now disappeared. Magic!

  • For future readers, I had the same issue (I've had it in the past and am not sure how I resolved it, but it has gone away in the past). This time what I did what turn off my phone (iPhone) and my watch.   Then turned them both back on. When  I opened up Connect again, the message was gone.  Hope this helps!

  • This worked (turning both phone and watch off, then turning them both back on). Thank you!

  • One or both of the following sequences fixed it for my vívosmart 4 and iPhone:

    • On the watch press the “telephone/Bluetooth” icon then the “telephone/question mark” icon. 
    • Acknowledge the alert “Your phone was found by your vívosmart 4.”
    • Force quit Garmin Connect then restart it.

    I also did this before quitting/restarting:

    • Tap your device>Appearance>Widgets and change something (I added a new widget). Connect will tell you it will be applied next time you sync. 
    • Tap the sync button.
    • Force quit Garmin Connect then restart it.

    I noticed the problematic welcome banner after arriving on a different continent than where I set up my watch. 

  • Delete the app, reload, go through setup and it goes away!

  • I just discovered this problem. For me (iOS 15), logging out of Garmin Connect and then logging back in fixed the problem.
