Missing notifications

Hi guys

since few weeks and it’s happening more and more but sometimes i don’t get notifications at all. Everything is connected Bluetooth and connect app is running. But don’t have notifications. Any ideas ?

     What device are you using? Also, if you haven't already I would recommend starting with our article here outlining some things to check/try.

    Ditto.  I’ve lost three downloads from Zwift in the last week, two in the last three hours.

     Could elaborate on how missing notifications are impacting your Zwift rides? We're happy to help but I don't have a good idea of what you're experiencing based on your reply.

    Hi 

    i am using iphone 12 ios 14.8. Everything is uptodate. Sometimes i need to turn off and on again to get notifications uptodate but it doesn’t always work. And i also forget to say i cannot get weather even if i sync with the app

    Hi Blake,

    Yes, many thanks.  It happens at random.  An example is Wednesday when I rode three separate rides on Zwift.

    The first ride synced fine with Garmin upon finishing.  The second and third did not.  All three synced with Strava and the Zwift Companion app per usual and, when applicable, Zwiftpower.  

    I keep careful records of these rides and use Garmin's data as the main source so when Garmin doesn't load I ALWAYS take notice. It's a relatively minor thing, but creates mindspace for consumers that Garmin is somehow less reliable, an equity I'm sure any brand doesn't want (not a criticism, I used to be a chief marketing officer, so I tend to think in brand marketing terms).

    Anyway, here are the details:

    11/11/21:

    A: First ride: reported as 3:12 PM (Garmin start time) or 3:29 PM (Zwift Companion finish time) or 3:30 PM (Strava finish time) (EST), 5.2 mi, Watopia, uploaded to: Garmin, Strava, Zwift Companion

    B: Second ride: 3:30 PM (EST) (Strava start time) 4:30 PM (EST) (Zwift Companion and Zwiftpower finish time), 22.47 mi, Team Italy Release the Chain Ride, uploaded to: Strava, Zwift Companion, Zwiftpower.  NO GARMIN.

    C: Third ride: 4:31 PM (EST) (Strava start time), 4:44 PM (Zwift Companion finish time) 4.48 mi Watopia, uploaded to Strava, Zwift Companion, NO GARMIN.

    So somehow all three rides were reliably recorded by the Zwift Companion app and by Strava while the group ride associated with Zwiftpower was also recorded as expected.  Meanwhile, only the first ride was recorded by Garmin.

    Hope this background helps us understand what happened over at Garmin.  A similar event happened a couple of weeks ago.  Prior to that, I hadn't had any problems with Garmin for over a year.
