Map does not match my run

Time and distance okay but map , elevation wrong.  Part of map is correct but shows a straight line to nowhere for part of the run ? I only turn on GPS at start of the run so trying to understand, only happen once this morning.

This is an indication that there are erroneous timestamps with bad GPS coordinates in the .fit file of the activity, as it was recorded on your Garmin device. This happens occasionally. On some models more than others. We can repair it for you. Attach the Garmin USB cable to your device and a computer. Open the drive associated with your Garmin then browse to the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder. In there you can look by date for the problematic activity, which will be in the form of a .FIT file.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
