Intensity Minutes card showing activity I didn’t do…..

The intensity minutes card is showing 36 moderate activity  minutes for yesterday when I didn’t start an activity and I have Move IQ and Auto Activity detection turned off.  It correctly doesn’t show on my watch and I only have one device (Garmin Venu SQ).  When I look at the day prior it shows the elliptical icon.  Yesterday doesn’t show any activity.

Any ideas?  Has this happened to anyone else?

  • You can get intensity minutes even if you don't log any activities. Check your heart rate graph. Was your heart rate raised during that period when you got the intensity minutes? If yes, then the intensity minutes are likely correct.

It is probably easier to use the web to look at the HR data and intensity minutes graphs: connect.garmin.com/.../2021-10-05

  • Thanks for the reply.  I think the recent problem is that in the app, for my HR zones it won't let me select a higher zone then Zone 2, but it should actually be Zone 3 and Vigorous should be Zone 4.  My only choice for moderate intensity is Zone 1 and Zone 2 which is really strange.  Am I missing something?

  • Nevermind, I figured it out, I had to increase vigorous zone first, then I could increase moderate zone level.
