Garmin Edge 810 - Ride will not upload / Says Fit File Malformed

Please can you help,

Today I went out on a 25 mile ride and when trying to upload my ride my Garmin Edge 810 continually gets stuck on the 'uploading ride page' with the circle just spinning and nothing happening for 20 minutes or so. Eventually I had to just power off my Garmin so I could try again. The problem now is that when I try again I cannot find the file in the 'Last Ride' section. Although when I go to 'All Rides' and the Fit files it is there. I have tried to manually upload the .fit file to Garmin and Strava but neither will work and they now say the file is malformed.

Please can you help me retrieve this ride so I can upload it.

I have tried rebooting the Garmin and my iphone. Unpairing, repairing. Uninstalling the app. Everything.

Please help. I don't even know how I can send you the .fit file

Connect your Edge to a computer and look for the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder. The fit tile will be in there
Copy the file to your computer then zip the file
In a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Donut, I was able to use FIT File Tools, using the section remover without any adjustments. It's just a web browser tool available on either Mac or Windows.

In case you have any trouble with it, here's the fixed file - Donut-fixed.zip

Of note, there is a time gap (straight line).
