Access denied when signing in.

I recently downloaded the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone and when I try to sign in this is message comes up: We're sorry. Something went wrong, and our site is temporarily unavailable. We're working to get things back on course. Access denied. This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks.

I have uninstalled and restarted my phone and still get this message.  I also checked to be sure my phone's software was up to date.  I can access my Garmin account on my computer.  Any ideas?

  • Could be an issue with Cloudflare (Garmin's provider) and blocking your IP address for some reason. If you're connected via wi-fi, try turning that off and using just your cell connection or if you're connected via cell, then switch to wi-fi. Otherwise, the message seems to indicate that you should wait or you can try contacting Garmin Support.

  • Same. Solved it by switching on our VPN, changing location to the USA, did all the setup, logged out, switched off the VPN then logged back in. Looks like it’s UK issue.
