I have a Fenix 6X Pro and I use it as my preferred fitness tracker. It is connected to the Garmin Connect app on iOS.
While the upload of activities usually works just fine, pretty much everything else seems to be broken:
1. Steps are counted on the watch, synced to the app and the next day, they‘re gone. For example, today I ran 12 km and the watch shows 13548 steps which is the correct step count. In the overview section of the app, the step count is correct. In the detailed step view however, I’ve got only 171 steps and this is also the number of steps counted towards the weekly challenge. The same holds true for climbed floors. My run earned me 141 floors which is shown in the overview section but not in the details (here I‘ve climbed just 1 floor)
2. Sleep recording doesn‘t usually work either although I wear the watch at least two hours prior to going to bed as recommended.
3. Intensity minutes (75 minutes of running and 93 minutes of indoor cycling today can’t result in a mere 99 intensity minutes), stress levels and body battery aren‘t recorded correctly or not at all.
The problem started with the step count and sleep tracking and the other issues kept piling up.
I‘ve tried pretty much everything: Sync via Wifi, restarting the watch, deleting the app and reinstalling it, sync via computer...Sometimes, some of these interventions worked and the numbers were suddenly corrected in the app (even the sleep data) but it‘s not reliable and quite cumbersome in addition to that. I am not willing to reset the watch because it seems that the app is to blame and I don‘t want to lose my settings such as the training pages.
What‘s the problem?
Thanks in advance.
