Accidentally pressed Restore Defaults on vivoactive watch.

Hello all,

I accidentally clicked "Restore Defaults" in the settings area on my vivoactive 3 watch. I thought that it was to restore default settings, not erase all my data. Is there a way that I can fetch all of my data back?

  • If you sync with the app you can see all your data there and in the web interface. The watches are not intended to be used for storing your data long term since they get full and old data is removed. Vivoactive 3 only holds about 1-2 weeks of data.

What data do you need on the watch that you can't get in the app?

Some data can be sent from the web interface like activities, records, workouts...

  • Before I clicked the restore default button, I could see all of the steps I got for the past 2 weeks, my last sport, my stair climbing, but now, when I clicked restore default I can't see anything.

  • I can't see anything.

What really matters is what you can see on Garmin Connect. If you've been syncing your data using the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Express, then it should all be on Garmin Connect, not the watch.

  • Do you need to see that on the watch? Use Garmin Connect to see your data.

You will be back with data on your watch after a few days.
