None of my activities are appearing on Garmin app

None of my activities are appearing on Garman connect. For example running or cycling does not appear as an activity yet is acknowledged in the heart rate stats. My vivo, fenix5 and Forerunner are all crap and - all provide inconsistent data normally which I accept. I used my vivo today, as above activity did not appear yet can see in heart stats, including acknowledging it was a ride. Worse so, whilst siting down hours later my vivo started buzzing that my heart rate was abnormal and was showing stress levels off the chart. Total BS - is Garmin hacked? Can I retrieve my activities? I’ve actually sopped using them - 3 watches all dog ***.

    , a few possibilities:

You've logged in with a different Garmin account - Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing

You have corrupt activities (.fit) files on your watch that can't sync with Garmin Connect - In this case try a manual upload to Garmin Connect Web to see if they are corrupt - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. In that case, zip the fit file then attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> Upload >> browse for file >> OK.

Eventually, you should backup then remove all of the files from the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on your watch

  • Thanks for your reply. Account is correct. I would not bother with Garmin products if I have to manually upload activities. Not sure how that will fix corrupt files. I’ve had no issues other than inconsistent reading between different watches, but ever since the hack all 3 are awful. Not sure how to get this fixed?

This is not typical, but it can happen. If you do have a corrupt file in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on your device, it can cause some of the issues you're experiencing. Did you try the manual import to see if you have corrupt files? If you do have files that can't upload to Garmin Connect., we'd be happy to fix them for you.

Meanwhile, the following is the typical advise for preventing the occurrence of corrupt files:

    • Backup, then remove the files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device If you delete the files in your activity folder with a Mac computer, then empty the trash folder before you unplug your device from the computer.
    • Try to avoid excessive button presses during your activity.
    • Regularly check for firmware updates using Garmin Express
    • If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support. Sounds like you should contact them anyway, since you have a multitude of issues with a variety of devices.
