Garmin IOS app - send a route to your device or someone else’s even - no chance !!!!!!!!

Ok so I’ve owned an edge 800 a 1000 and now have a 1030 plus and love em. I even think the new iOS app is bringing to look pretty good. BUT Jesus wept guys - THINK ABOUT IT  make basic stuff easy. I want to know my total miles for this year - not the last 12 months - total this year can’t do it or if you can you need a degree in programming ! I also want to be able to send a ride I have done historically to my Garmin device but you can’t do it you simply cannot do it. You have to have the historical ride saved as a course - you cannot turn a ride into a course on the app so therefore you can’t send it to a device like a 1030. Loads of riders sit with their phone and garmin prior to a ride looking at routes or previous routes - or perhaps they want to send a route to a friend so they can see ride dynamics or the next turn. Just put a send to device facility in the iOS app so that this can be done with two clicks - I don’t want to have to use the web browser or my laptop. Bonkers bonkers clunky design that needs sorting it’s so bloody annoying!!! Now I’ll go back to pissing around trying to send a route I did ages ago to the latest state of the art bike computer what a total ball ache
