Audio notification / alerts

I am using Edge 830.
it’s connected to my iPhone.
I have set it up to alert for speed, cadence, heart bits and upcoming turns.
It works perfectly fine but audio comes from my phone. This is not convenient because it’s located in a bag on a rack and I can’t hear it.
Is Edge capable to produce audio/alerts?

Is it designed only for the phone?

Well it’s not very convenient but it is what it is ...

I think that I will try to use one of my Apple EarPods in one ear and see how it works.
On one hand I don’t want to block any sounds while riding on a road but on another hand I would like to be notified by Garmin

Hope it won’t be dangerous

Folks,

I enabled Alerts and Notifications but for some reason my phone doesn’t play Alerts about heart rate, cadence, next turns and etc.

What could be the reason?

Hey! Did you follow the 2nd link above I posted to ensure everything that is needed is enabled.
