Intensity Minutes Graph no longer shows weekly progress

I just updated to the most recent version of Garmin Connect 4.41 and I noticed that the intensity minutes weekly graph is no longer available. It only shows my daily figure and no more weekly progress. Is this fixable?

  • I wonder whats is going on? First i did work, then it did not, then it did and today its changed again??? Today it was much harder to get the minuts, and the graph is different then Yesterday. I really dont understand why Garmin feel the need til Change something that alredy did work before, Change it to the better and then Change it to something not as good again? Why?!

  • In addition to the above. It is important to know the split for vigorous intensity minutes

  • Garmin what are you doing!

you had something that was functional and work and seemingly well liked

you change it to something that is not functional and doesn’t work and is roundly criticized

Instead of going back to the proven option you move to something new - why? Do you like to gamble with the brand’s reputation?

    2 suggestions

get control of your software process

start checking with users before you release updates, it seems internally you are not able to judge functionality

Final - go back to what worked for the people who buy the watch.

  • Totally, completely and utterly agree with every word!!! Clap

  • This is so frustrating. Originally in My Day, whether collapsed or expanded, one touch of the intensity minutes display and you immediately saw your weekly progress in a very easy to read bar graph. Perfect – no need for change

So then they make a poor choice and change it. So you could still get to the weekly bar graph but it required more steps (especially if you are starting from collapse mode). Very annoying and inefficient change.

After public outrage, they make another change. However instead of reverting to the original preferred format, they provide us with a change that in my opinion is worse than the first  faux pas. Now when you touch the intensity minutes display in My Day, it takes you to the one day display so you still have to take an extra step to get to the weekly display. Then when you touch the 7d to get the weekly view, instead of the user friendly easy to read at a glance bar graph, you get a more difficult to read line chart. Still can’t quickly see my weekly progress and worse yet, I now see no way to see the weekly progress in the bar graph format. Now it will show your yearly progress in the bar graph mode but that’s not information that is very important to me.

Attention Garmin developers: Listen to your users, restore the original format for viewing weekly intensity minutes. I have a feeling that these developers are not actual users of their own software. If they were, they’d realize how ridiculous these changes are. Remember folks, the old adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies to software development too.

    Rant over.

  • Amber, I'm not ranting at you. I truly appreciate the efforts you have made to try and get this issue resolved. Thank you for that!

  • Not sure I like the new line graph display or not, but it is better than two days ago. It will take some getting used to, but I'd much rather have the weekly bar chart view back.

  • Yes please bring the bar chart back.  this new line chart is much more difficult to interpret and doesn't show any additional information. It's just bad design.

  • Something else seems to be off now: when I set activity minutes to based on hr zones I don’t add to activity minutes. Not at all. Just had a very stiff 40 minutes walk which should have counted for moderate for at least 30 minutes, but nothing. I have custom hr zones set.

  • The same has happened to me
