Forerunner 35 sync issues with Strava on an iPhone

My garmin forerunner 35 has stopped syncing my runs to Strava on my iPhone during the last week, although it syncs my fitness workouts under the cardio section perfectly fine. Help! Why?

    Well it’s a shame you’ve been unable to resolve this situation. It seems to me that the watch is only sending certain workouts to Strava instead of all workouts. I also recorded a short walk the other day out of interest to see if it would sync with Strava and it did. 
    Very frustrating and disappointing!

    I understand your frustration, However, the device is meant to sync with our Garmin Connect Mobile App. If the device is syncing with our app it is working as its designed to. If any of the troubleshooting is not working for the 3rd party apps we encourage you to reach out to the 3rd party support so they can have have a chance to resolve it.

    One thing you can double check is making sure you only have one account for Strava. This would keep activities from syncing. If you have not contacted Strava support I can do some more digging on their support page and if I come across anything, I will let you  know.

    Hiya, I’ve done a hard factory reset of the watch tonight (basically wiped it to its original settings) then done a mini run around my backyard at it’s working again! 
    Just make sure you backup your watch first to your garmin connect app before you do it  so everything is still saved to your app, then disconnect your current watch from your garmin app and Strava, do a reset of the watch and then connect back to both. 
    still need to try it with a proper run 2moro tho looks like it’s done the trick, Fingers crossed tone1

    Great thank you! I’ve just done that so will let you know how I get on with my run tomorrow!

    Did a bike ride today and that went to Strava fine. I did contact Strava re the runs and they instructed me to import the data from the Garmin website which seems like a bit of a faff! Fingers crossed this works tho! Thank you!
