My fenix 6x sapphire will not complete setup

after pairing with Garmin connect on my iPhone.i have uninstalled, reinstalled, and powered both down multiple times. It connects thru Bluetooth but the setup fails. The watch is not new and worked fine before. Frustrating!

    Doesn't work for everyone, but these steps and video seem to be the most helpful to fix this issue.

    • In the Garmin Connect app remove Garmin - More > Garmin Devices > select your Garmin device > Remove Device
    • On your iPhone go to Settings > Bluetooth > select your Garmin device > Forget This Device
    • If you have any other mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.) nearby and paired with the Garmin, also do the same there - Settings > Bluetooth > select your Garmin device > Forget This Device
    • Restart iPhone
    • Restart Garmin device
    • Place your Garmin in pairing mode  - depends on model, but usually hold MENU > select Pair Phone.
    • Pair using Garmin Connect, not your phone's Bluetooth settings.

    • If issues persist, contact Garmin Support.

    The first problem is that when i goto Garming Devices, there is no apparent way to remove the device, a left swipe does not work?!

    Do you see 3 dots on the upper right hand corner of the app?

    This works for me.

    From More > Garmin Devices tap on the image of your device.

    Tap the vertical ellipses, then remove device

    My device says its paired but when i do as you've described above, More/Garmin Devices, it shows "no devices paired" with two other devices listed under  "registered to Garmin Connect" 

    Left swipe has no effect on these.

    When I pair from the watch "Add Devices" it says "ready to Connectwith fenix 6x Sapphire" I push the "Connect It" Blue Button but the "Pairing Failed" message eventually shows

    This worked for me, thank you very much.  Once I unpaired my fenix 6 sapphire from my nearby Android tablet, I was able to complete setup with the Connect app on my phone.
