I don’t know exactly what’s happening but when you setup a credit card it has you pick one but you can reset it.
In the Garmin Connect app go to device, then Garmin Pay, this is where you add your CC, go to “change passcode” and in small blue letters you can choose “forgot your password?”. It will delete the card and you can re-set it up.
