Newest iOS software and Garmin Connects

Hi Everyone,

With the newest iOS update on the apple phone, is anyone else having their workouts not show up on the Garmin Connect? My watch is syncing, however the workout is not showing up. I can access the details of the workout on my watch, however doesn't display this new workout on the Garmin Connect app.

TIA!

  • I have a Vivoactive 3 and cannot get ConnectIQ to work at all anymore. What is up with Garmin? Surprisingly crappy software.

  • No, not having that problem with 14.4.  What watch do you have?  Have you tried powering it off and back on?  I'd do the same with your iphone also.

  • That’s for the reply. I did reboot everything and even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Seems like very buggy software.

    1. I have been having the same problem for the past 2 days. I am using Fenix 6. Did the switching off & on for both my iPhone & watch.
  • I have been facing the same problem since the past two days. I am using Fenix 6. Did the switching off and back on both my iPhone and watch. The problem still there.

  • I have the Vivomove HR... I should figure out how to power off the watch lol Rofl

update, I deleted the app on my phone, then had a difficult time syncing it Persevere it finally did sync after like the 5th attempt. I did my iFit 5km run this am and the run appeared on the newly installed app... Shrug tone1‍♀️

however the workout from yesterday still has not shown up...

  • Plug your watch into your laptop etc, and login to your garmin connect account (connect.garmin.com), this will sync your watch.  Scroll down to Activities, All Activities on the left hand side, do you see yesterdays activity there?  If yes, unplug it and see if it now shows up in the mobile app after you open it up and sync.

If no, click on "import", upper right hand side of the activities screen and then "browse".  Locate your garmin watch in your file browser, click on the activities folder, find yesterday's activity to import.  Once you've imported it, it should show up on your next sync with the mobile app.

  • Thanks for this - I managed to open the device however I didn't see any activities... Maybe it's different on a Mac?

I was able to import the details from my watch manually, however I don't see the detailed HR that I usually look at when the app works as it should.

  • Do you see folders under the watch?  There should be a folder that has .fit files in it.

  • Maybe it's different on a Mac?
    1. Plug the device into the computer

    2. Open Finder

    3. Click Go in the menu bar

    4. Click Computer

    5. Double-click the Garmin device drive

    6. Double-click the Garmin folder

    7. Double-click the Activities folder

      • Activity (FIT) files will typically be titled in the following format:
