I’m at a loss. Every Garmin I’ve had so far has issues staying connected to the GCM app. The connection to the phone is fine, as I’m still getting messages and other notifications and the watch is listed as “connected” in my overview of Bluetooth devices. However, the app itself s seems to willy nilly lose its connection to the watch (I.e. no green dot in the watch). So I lose to ability to get recent weather info, calendar info, sync over hydration info etc.)
As the watch stays connected to the phone perfectly fine, I’m assuming it has something to do with the GCM app not staying in loaded in memory or something?
I’m currently sporting a Fenix 6, but had it happen to my vivoactive and my Fenix 3hr too.
Does anyone have any ideas or are there Garmin people that would like to chime in. I’ve been in contact with phone support 2-3 times, very friendly people and they even offer to send me a new device but that won’t fix the issue so pretty pointless.
