This suggestion relates to the Garmin Connect product on all smartphones, iOS and Android.
It's a simple idea with hopefully a simple implementation.
In the Garmin Connect app, it's easy to see all your past Activities. When you access a past Activity, a map is displayed with the GPS route that was recorded. It would be very useful to display a blue dot (or similar indicator) showing the current position of the user, updated in in real-time, over-layed onto the Activity map. This would assist greatly with navigation when you are trying to retrace the path of an old Activity.
I know it's possible to export the Activity as GPX data, and load that into a separate navigation app, and use that for navigation. But it would be far less trouble to be simply able to look at an old Activity in Garmin Connect and navigate manually if your current position is displayed in real-time on the same map.
