Yesterday I downloaded MyFitnessPal, created a new MyFitnessPal account, and linked it to Garmin Connect to test out logging of calories. I only sync run activities to Garmin Connect, so unless I've been out running the Garmin Connect app will show my active calories as "--" which I assumed was equal to "0 kcal".
Yesterday when I first tried this out I logged 1474 kcal in MyFitnessPal, I had one running activity logged during the day resulting in 734 active calories and Garmin Connect displayed the following:
(no screenshot available)
Active: 734
Consumed: 1474
Adjusted goal: 1980 + 734 = 2714
Calories remaining: Adjusted goal (2714) - Consumed (1474) = +1240
This looked like what I expected and the calculations made sense. But today when I re-checked yesterday's date the calorie goal from MyFitnessPal is empty, so the calculation is changed to -740 kcal instead of +1240 kcal:
Active: 734
Consumed: 1474
Adjusted goal: -- + 734 = 734
Calories remaninig: Adjusted goal (734) - Consumed (1474) = -740
Also for today's date the active calories start at -15,153 kcal instead of 0 kcal and my resting calories are set to 0 kcal resulting in the below:
Active: --
Consumed: 207
Adjusted goal: 1980 + -- = --
Calories remaninig: Adjusted goal (--) - Consumed (207) = -13 380
- Why did 'calorie goal' disappear for yesterday in Garmin Connect? Is that something that should happen?
- Why is "active calories" set to "-15,153" on the web (not visible in the app) and why are my resting calories set 0 (on the web) for today's date?
- If I look at yesterday's date using Garmin Connect on the web, the active calories and resting calories are correctly set, but instead "goal calories" is set to 0. On MyFitnessPal the "Goal calories" is correctly set for the same date.
Is this a temporary glitch and everything will sync correctly eventually or how I can I fix this?
Edit: I've tried to press "sync now" for both dates and Garmin Connect is syncing with MyFitnessPal, but the numbers stay the same.
