I just tried to view my step total for the month of December 2020 and discovered that it is now showing weekly totals for the last year. I would much rather see totals from each month so I can compare.

New steps UI in the app, while being nice and modern, has some regressions and useless features.
New 1d overview is fine, 7d and 4w also.
But 1y overview is complete trash now. Why would anyone want date…
Yes just tried to do the same. This is not an enhancement. Can we have the old view back please?
Based on my incident submission yesterday, I already have an email exchange with Product Support. Sending screenshots of iOS and android app and detailed description of issue at the moment.
January 7th …
Well if this is being left like this despite the amount of people unhappy with it I might have to make a decision when my garmin finally needs replacing.
I know. It's as if Garmin actively want to irritate people! You would think they could just let users know what their plans are for this. Its so irritating not having that information
Not even weekly from the start of a designated week but a rolling week that is not fixed . I would be ok with this as a screen to check a more detailed running average, but I want the monthly for goal setting.
When we to the yearly tracking, earlier it was giving a monthly breakup and now its weekly! How can we change this view, I would like to see the monthly view.
Are you referring to this? 1 year step totals view changed from monthly to weekly
yes! well clearly a lot of people are miffed and want it back :) Why is Garmin taking so long to revert the change
Why is Garmin taking so long to revert the change
I cannot answer that, but I have joined the threads to the parent thread here. Also, not seeing very many users that have reported this to Garmin via the Garmin Support Center, which could be why Garmin has not prioritized this.
