Connect app isn’t syncing step details with MyFitnessPal unless I plug into laptop

Connect and MyFitnessPal apps aren’t syncing steps. Only syncs if I plug into laptop and use Garmin Express

  • Need Help!

Hi, I was able to connect MyFitnessPal with Garmin Connect. However, while MyFitnessPal will accept the workouts (and calories burned) from Garmin Connect, Garmin connect will not accept the calorie intake (food eaten) or weight from MyFitnessPal. Does anyone have a solution?  It appears that I can "force a sync" from the website. . . but that is a real pain.

  • Hi! I have the same problem.

I, too, was able to connect MyFitnessPal with Garmin Connect but yesterday it started to not sync the calorie intake from MyFitnessPal, it also seems that doesn’t update the calories consumed at rest.

I tried to disconnect and reconnect the apps but obviously it didn’t work.

  • I also can’t get my fitness pal to connect to my Garmin. Had no issue with it on my Fitbit recently changed to Garmin and it’s not working. Says please wait while we sync your stats but doesn’t move from there. Any suggestions?

  • Hi, I have the same problem. Garmin Connect gets my steps from the watch but it doesn´t reflect the burned calories. MyFitnessPal doesn´t get the steps from Garmin Connect. Eaten calories do go to the Garmin Connect App.

Has anyone got a response to this?

  • Maybe not be related but it worked for me, when I allowed for negative calorie adjustment in myfitnesspal it started syncing the steps from garmin (where it hadn't been before).
