Phantom activities being logged

Noticing each day my Fenix logs training activities that I’ve not recorded. Strange small ride, runs and swims like 6m cycles etc. anyone else having the same issues. Also these aren’t being accidentally triggers as I don’t wear my watch during the day.

Thank you for this, I've checked and seems this is activated from my cadence sensor on my bike when I move it around to clean it etc... Didnt realise this activated an activity when you turned the crank…

If you had another watch I would say that it is the auto start activity feature that will use Move IQ to detect what you are doing and after a certain threshold start an activity, but as far as I know the Fenix watches don't have that feature.

Do you have any map connected to those phantom activities? If you have it could give you some ideas to why and how it was it created. Check the timestamp for the activity and which device that recorded it.

Thanks for this, yeah only have the one watch and doesn’t have this feature built in. And when these activities are logged my watch is sitting on my counter top at home with no motion so it’s all very strange.

ive even noticed that sometime legitimate workouts get duplicated too.

Which fenix do you have? The fenix series has Move IQ starting with the fenix 5. Can you access the FIT files for the ghost rider? With your Garmin device connected to your computer, open the drive associated with your device. Look for your FIT files under the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder

Very mysterious.

If you click the phantom activity and scroll down you can see which watch recorded the activity. Is it a Fenix 3?
