Fenix 6x Pro won’t connect to iPhone 10xs Max iOS 14.2

I have tried everything. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Reset watch to default. App has Bluetooth permission and I see the Fenix 6x in the Bluetooth settings but it bounces back and forth between connected and not connected. The watch says to go to the mobile app and the app just says configuring.... the watch never gives a code and the app never gives you the spot to enter a code. I was able to pair to a Samsung note 10 but it will not connect to the iPhone.

    Hi,

same problem here. It only syncs via Wi-Fi network. But I read some posts that they're already looking for the solution.

  • Oh thanks for the heads up on that. Unfortunately I rest the watch again to try and get it to connect but it won’t and you can’t add WiFi from the watch if you haven’t paired to a phone. Luckily it paired again this morning so fingers crossed it keeps working.

  • If it happens again you can try this. These steps and video seems to be the most helpful to fix this issue. Most importantly "To use the connected features on your watch, you must pair it directly through the Garmin Connect app, instead of from the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone"

These steps and video should untangle the Bluetooth issues and repair appropriately

    • Remove fenix 6 from Garmin Connect App (More > Garmin Devices)
    • "Forget" fenix 6 in iPhone settings > Bluetooth
    • Restart both the iPhone and your fenix 6
    • Place fenix 6 in pairing mode. From the watch face, hold MENU, and select Phone > Pair Phone.
    • Pair using Garmin Connect
