Choosing which notifications will appear on watch (Venu Sq Music) on iOS

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to select which notifications to display on the Venu Sq Music on iOS. I know you can do it on Android, but I haven't found anything on how to do it on iOS. I know you can do it on the FitBit on the Versa 2, so if this feature isn't currently available, it seems like a reasonable thing to ask for.

  • Assuming that you are on iOS 13.0 or newer, check the following settings:

    1. From the iPhone select Settings

    2. Select Notifications

    3. Next to Show Previews you must have either Always or When Unlocked chosen to see any kind of notification on your Garmin device. This is an iOS 13 setting required by Apple to display notifications on a Bluetooth paired device.
    4. Under NOTIFICATION STYLE select the app you want to configure (e.g. Messages, Mail, etc.)

      • To SEE NOTIFICATIONS for a specific app on your Garmin Device confirm the following:
        1. Under ALERTS,  check Notification Center
        2. Under OPTIONS Show Previews is set to either Always or When Unlocked

      • To DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS for a specific app on your Garmin device confirm the following:
        1. Under ALERTS, uncheck Notification Center
          • NOTE: This will also result in notifications no longer appearing in the phone's notification center.

Thank you for the quick reply! I was wondering if there was a way to have the notifications to not completely mirror the notifications I get on my phone. Basically, there are some notifications that I want on my phone that I don't want to be seeing on my watch.

  • Same here! I don't need a wrist notification for every notification my phone receives.

  • It only receives the notifications that you have the “Notification Center” on for Alerts for each specific app.  Also, Show previews needs to be set to “always” on to see the alerts.  Its a combination of those two things that will send the notifications to your watch.  If Show previews is set to unlocked then you won’t see them except when your phone is already unlocked and then what would be the point?
