Connect 4.37 no longer syncing with with Apple Health.

This morning (I’m in Europe), 13. Nov 2020, Garmin Connect had updated to v4.37 overnight.

Now Connect will sync with my Approach S60 and my Index Smart Scale, but not with Apple Health - and what’s more, all the previous data for the last few years have been deleted from Apple Health as well. The data is in Connect, but not in Health.

iOS version 14.1

  • And here I’ve been the last few days trying to figure out what I did wrong to make all my Health App data erase. Good to know I’m not the only one, but equally as upset as everyone else. I had trouble getting my Connect and Health apps synced until the start of October. Was super stoked to have them getting along finally, and now it all goes bye-bye. Will be following along here to learn if we get a solution from either Apple or Garmin.

I am having the same issue with my garmin 235. Very annoying

  • chatting with the German support this morning. They are still saying the issue is related to changes made by apple. Obviously no intention to look into the issue from their end. support advised to contact apple support.

Has anyone here reported his/her trouble to the Garmin Support Team? I highly recommend to do this so that they are aware that it’s a bigger issue and not only the problem of only few people.

I also reported this problem to the Apple support but still no answer from Apple. Would wish that Garmin steps in to support their users to get this problem solved as it is definitely an interface problem between Garmin and Apple.

Already talked to  Support and we Tried everything, without a positive result. So it is obvious that the error is in the Garmin app.

  • Same issue. First they screw up sleep, so REM sleep shows as awake, now they totally break Apple Health integration and blow away most of the data Connect has written to Apple Health over the last 4 years. It’s shambolic.

  • Maybe this is a good thing. Now they will finally see that part of the code is just spaghetti and rewrite the whole thing.

    1. Same here. Another disaster release after 12.20
