Connect 4.37 no longer syncing with with Apple Health.

This morning (I’m in Europe), 13. Nov 2020, Garmin Connect had updated to v4.37 overnight.

Now Connect will sync with my Approach S60 and my Index Smart Scale, but not with Apple Health - and what’s more, all the previous data for the last few years have been deleted from Apple Health as well. The data is in Connect, but not in Health.

iOS version 14.1

  • Well, good for you. Unfortunately, did not happen for everyone...

  • Very strange! I opened Health and I saw the data being deleted one by one. It took 15 minutes to erase the last month. Then there was nothing to delete so it stop. I re-opened Connect. I came back to Health and I saw data coming in day by day. It took few seconds and the data was back (Only for the last month).

  • Same issue here. All my Garmin history is lost to apple health.

This is a disgrace. Garmin needs to fix this and fix it right. The app always lost some of the last 15 minutes of each day. If you we’re walking to get a goal by midnight you needed to constantly force synch to come even close to having the numbers match. Doesn’t matter now, Garmin doesn’t sync at all.

  • Same here. I'm on IOS 14.1 and GC 4.37.0.28. I was literally watching the last years workout data disappear from Apple Health. Garmin better fix this issue, they make great hardware but my seven year old granddaughter could write better software.

Is there any way to import historical data from GC into Apple Health?

  • Same here. When can Garmin fix this issue? How can we rollback to previous version?

  • Only way I found to get the previous version was to restore my phone from a back-up.  Unfortunately this did not restore the health data that was deleted by the app and when I synced the data it only did the last thirty days so not sure rolling back to the previous version helps.

  • I have the same problem

  • The Index Smart Scale is a piece of junk. I shudder to think if this thing is an indication of their general software engineering practices.

Luckily the weight data is still in Garmin Connect and luckily I still have a Withings scale. I exported my weight data from Garmin Connect to CSV. I cleaned up the data using a text editor and Apple Numbers. Bulk imported the data into Withings and now my weight data is back in Apple Health.

  • I have the same issue, all my steps from Garmin were removed from Health App, for at least 3 years (2018, 2019, 2020 )!!!

    I'm under iOs v14.2 and Garmin Connect v4.37.0.28 !!!

    What's going on?

I really hope this will be solve and I will retrieve all my data !

    Thank you for your support.

    Romain.

  • Exactly the same, for at least 3 years of steps !!!
