Connect 4.37 no longer syncing with with Apple Health.

This morning (I’m in Europe), 13. Nov 2020, Garmin Connect had updated to v4.37 overnight.

Now Connect will sync with my Approach S60 and my Index Smart Scale, but not with Apple Health - and what’s more, all the previous data for the last few years have been deleted from Apple Health as well. The data is in Connect, but not in Health.

iOS version 14.1

I can confirm otherwise and just screen recorded it.

  • Had another chat with Garmin support in Germany. They think it's all fixed and limited history (30 days) must be related to apple's health app and therefore they cant help. Have asked them to check whether there is any chance to get more historic data synced again.

It can't be linked to Apple Health App, as all of our data were deleted following Garmin Connect Update!

Garmin has to retreive all of our data (several years in my case) otherwise I think we can initiate a Class Action, don't you think so ?

I have two iPhones that sync to the same Garmin account (dont ask) and found that one started syncing again a few hours after the  app update, the other (with the newer iOS) took 2 days after the update before it started syncing in full.

I would say its to do with the mass of sync data updates/download that the Garmin servers are handling right now - except the transfer happens on the device :P

  • For activities you can use rungap (apple appstore)

for steps, calories, weight, no way

Not true, Garmin deleted the data in Apple Health. They must put it back. From the beginning they try to put it on the Apple fault. The bug append with Garmin new version of GC.

  • I don't think so, you still have your data, just not in apple health. Which is mayor inconvenience.

Exactly, they deleted the dat without our consent !!!

  • I was able to export the data from Garmin (body stats) using the Export button, but I haven't found a way to import it manually into Apple Health.

  • i too have had this issue. one curiosity (i am running latest 4.37.5 and still no improvement): if i got settings on Health app, and look under App Connect: it shows all categories on, but then when i got to Data, only a few things are shown (not Steps)
