Connect 4.37 no longer syncing with with Apple Health.

This morning (I’m in Europe), 13. Nov 2020, Garmin Connect had updated to v4.37 overnight.

Now Connect will sync with my Approach S60 and my Index Smart Scale, but not with Apple Health - and what’s more, all the previous data for the last few years have been deleted from Apple Health as well. The data is in Connect, but not in Health.

iOS version 14.1

  • Forgot to mention: the data brought back covered EXACTLY one month (and not just approx one month)...

  • Nope - 1 hour later, nothing more has been synced... half measures

  • There seems to be still a little glitch somewhere, as i selected all data to be synced, no steps and only paritial HR data was synced with the new release.

    as i am mainly interessted in the steps data, i uninstalled connect, deletet all data from connect, did a iPhone reset (long power button push), installed connect again and only selectec steps to be synced. 1 month is back and seems to stay

    so for me it looks o.k, beside of the history of data which is „lost“, but this is still „visible“ in connect

  • think our devices only keep 1 month data on our devices or it could be a Garmin Connect/Apple limit.

    Have replied to Garmin support to confirm if this is the expected behavior. At least we know the old data is still stored on Garmin Connect online, and data sync with other apps are still working

  • It’s not issue. It just many time that I wrote about this, GC doesn’t sync all hostory data but start sync only since last month.

    The sync start today charge only data from 22th oct. if you cancel all data on next 1st december, and start new sync, it start from last 1st november.

  • Saw my data came back on Apple Health. Went for my daily hour walk on the treadmill and it's vanished again. Brilliant!

    problem of data no sync fix with 4.37.1

    Users highlights that see only last month and I explained that this is no issue to fix for Garmin because this is how GC sync the data with Health.

    In easy word... there are not any problem to fix about data sync. 

  • The sync is still a problem. You get one month back of data (like with the previous version) and if you wait for a while it gets deleted (like with the previous version). So you’ll get maximum one month of data at a given day (at a given time more precisely - before it gets deleted again). That’s not the expected behavior. In addition, if they managed to erase all my history (3 years for me but probably more for others), I would expect that they kindly put it back...

  • See my picture... 12 months ago... GC doesn’t sync over 30days. In any moment you loose the data and re-sync it start from last month.

    With 4.37.1 my last month charged so, for us it’s problem don’t see all history data, but for Garmin not.

    Many times that Garmin doesn’t work to fix the issues with IOS (forum is full of open issue, like for exemple the double counting in “distance walk/run”).

    I don’t know if there’s a way to extract all my data from GC to excel, so then charge manually into health.
