Connect is not syncing to account but receiving data from account

I'll preface here that I've found similar issues in the forums, and experienced one too, but none of the solutions are working for me. Wondering if there's any advice before I raise a support request later.

My Approach S60 syncs its information to Garmin Connect on my i-phone, the correct data is shown in My Day. However for example if I then click into Steps, the new steps from that sync are not shown. Activities are also not updating to the account. So my guess is the data is getting from the watch to the App, but the data in the App is not uploading to my Account.

If I sync the watch on the PC using Garmin Express, all syncs fine. If I then sync Connect on the mobile, it updates the steps and activity from the account. So it does seem the Connect app is logging into my account correctly and downloading data, but is not uploading data that it receives from the watch.

I experienced similar in February this year, and it was resolved by simply syncing via PC using Express. That's not working this time.

I've searched forums which indicate it could be a problem with multiple accounts and the app being confused which one to connect to. I only have one account, and the fact that Connect is pulling data from the account after a sync using Express seems to indicate it is logging into the correct account anyway.

I have tried re-installing in various combinations with the most recent being turning the watch off, removing the watch from the app, uninstalling Connect, "forgetting" the watch in the IOS Bluetooth, restarting phone, re-installing Connect, and pairing the watch again.

I did update the phone to IOS 14.2 and have seen some reporting problems with that version but not what I'm seeing, and I can't recall if this started immediately after the IOS update...

Unless anyone has ideas, I'll be trying a factory reset on the watch, uninstall connect from the phone and reinstall everything later today once I update the day's information using Express. If that doesn't work, support ticket.

Any ideas?

No response but solved this morning with factory reset of watch. In case anyone else gets this problem.

    1. Uninstalled Garmin Connect from Mobile

    2. Removed (forget device) Bluetooth Pairing in mobile

    3. Factory reset watch

    4. Re-install Garmin Connect to mobile

    5. Login to Garmin Connect on mobile and re-pair watch

To note: I did this almost (after a couple of coffees of course)  first thing in the morning as I didn't know whether the factory reset watch at 0 steps would overwrite those steps already logged for the day. This doesn't seem to be a problem. Before doing the above I synced my watch using PC Garmin Express so had 246 steps in the morning. After first sync of the reset watch and newly installed Garmin Connect mobile, those 246 steps were synced to the watch and my daily count started from there.
