Edge 830 not logging resting calories

Purchased edge 830 & used for 3 rides. For all 3 rides the connect app shows only the active calories & the resting calories is blank. I verified that my personal data is right, correct weight is entered and also tried a reset of edge but still no resting calories is shown in connect app. I have connected this edge with cadence, speed and heart rate sensor and all three sensors were connected during the rides. Any idea how to fix this?

Same situation here. Any suggestions Garmin?? Or did you solve it 3301? Thanks!

I contacted Garmin support and they said for resting calories to be calculated a garmin watch is required. It really doesn’t make sense because I have a heart rate sensor and the watch is also going to calculate it based on the same heart rate sensor. It’s a bummer for such an expensive device.
