Ok, I have no idea why a GPS connected watch would need to be asking permission from my phone on my location?
I just want to be able to see the weather on my watch without having to have Garmin use my phone's location all the time. iOS 14 even gave me a notification that Garmin Connect has been excessively accessing my location when I'm not using the app for the past 3 days!
Can't I just manually set a weather location?
Also, is there an easy way to turn off/on notifications without going deep into the settings? Like if I want to take a nap I don't want my watch buzzing. I could just hit privacy button?
That said, I use my watch for back country adventures all the time and absolutely love it, the smart notifications and communication with Garmin Connect is pretty annoying. I find myself having to open the app all the time.
Another request! Could you give the option to store my location/workout/course info locally on the phone and not have to connect to Garmin servers every time? I'd like more privacy and a better way to have ownership on my data.
