forerunner 935 no longer pairs with my iphone

My garmin forerunner 935 no longer pairs with my iphone. I have been using the same phone & watch for almost 2 years and after the most recent garmin connect software update the 2 won't pair. I have reinstalled garmin connect I've attempted most of the recommendations but nothing seems to work and its been 2 days now. Can anyone assist ?. when I attempt pairing my watch says initialising for 1 minute and then it is pairing failed.

I am also unable t connect to my wifi network using my garmin, I also get a network connection failed error.

Did you get the latest Garmin Connect for iOS update? Version 4.35 came out yesterday.

Hi @seilogramp thanks for the answer. After installing the update, my phone and my garmin have not been connected. I had to manually remove my device on the garmin app in order to pair it afresh. I have been unsuccessful in pairing

Check out the steps in this video. There is specific sequence. If you don't get the prompt to enter a PIN, then you should go back and "forget" the Garmin device in iPhone BT settings, then only use the app to pair, not the iPhone BT settings.

Thanks once again. I saw this video earlier today on this forum. The suggested sequence on the video is exactly the steps I followed yesterday. The main challenge now is that when using the app I start pairing on the app and the garmin device but I do not get prompt to enter pin.

I restored factory settings on my garmin and had to sacrifice losing my 2 mid week runs. That did no help. The solution was to connect my garmin to a pc and sync it using garmin express. As part of that sync the software on the garmin was updated which resolved this issue. Thanks for your attempts to assist. My issue has not been resolved. Thanks

Looks like they did...

The solution was to connect my garmin to a pc and sync it using garmin express. As part of that sync the software on the garmin was updated which resolved this issue

Thank you, however, my watch will not connect to Garmin express when I plug in the charging cable. Is there a different cable to be used?

If you have a Forerunner 935, it should be this one - Charging/Data Cable
