Run not syncing with Garmin Connect and cannot import activity as a .fit file

I completed a run this morning, which will not sync with my Garmin Connect app on my phone. I have tried connecting my watch to my PC via USB, but that does not work either.

I have also tried to upload the activity as a .FIT file but it says

We don't support the file type you tried to import.

This happens fairly regularly - any advice?

I could create a manual activity, but I can't then see my route, my splits etc

  • Please zip  your fit file then attach it to this thread. Someone might be able to take a look and see if it's repairable. 

    If your issue occurs frequently, it helps if you backup your Activity folder on your device (\Garmin\Activity), then delete the fit files within.  Make sure you back it up especially if you haven't yet synced everything
