Is it really not possible to import an external route / course whatever into Garmin Connect? I just get an "Ooops" message when I follow the recommended process - on both Win and IOS machines for both GPX and TCX files.

    It is possible. I do it all the time. Assuming you're importing as a course and not importing as an activity? Sometimes it takes bit of tweaking. I typically run my routes through a 3rd party site, such as Plotaroute. If you could, please zip your file and drop it into this thread. We might be able to take a look and see what is going on.

    Thank you - I'm a novice user but you helped me understand what I was doing wrong (need to import as course) - still can't get a GPX course to import but converting it to TCX just worked.  Thank you for the pointer and top marks to Garmin for the most astonishingly unhelpful error messages.  Praise the Lord for forums.
