Garmin Sync and Bluetooth issues after latest update

Updated my Forerunner 245 to 5.00  this morning and the garmin connect app,     Shows that the watch is connected on the phone,  but the watch shows no bluetooth connection and I get a never ending sync circle.   Updated with garmin express on windows to try to fix,  restarted both watch and phone devices.   Was able to get data synced to Garmin connect one time to show sleep data and other data,  But  Weather never updated and watchface still shows no bluetooth connection and gets stuck on never ending circle icon when trying to sync..

    Yes, I agree. All good points. Seems more prevalent on the iOS forum than on the Android forum. I also have an Android phone and I do not experience any of the issues reported on iOS. Some have reported success doing an unpair/pair using this method.

    Garmin support isn't monitoring this forum, so more users should report the issue via the Garmin Support Center. This would at least get their attention.

  • For me it's been working for some days, but today the issue is back again. C´mon Garmin, get your act together!

  • Was a ticket raised with Garmin?  I have the same issue. Done everything Garmin has advised on their site to correct.  My activities and stats upload, but nothing gets pushed to the devices (activities from other devices, Strava routes and segments, etc...).  Only way I can force the sync of this data is to unpair and repair the devices.  Super annoying.

  • I have had to follow the procedure you mentioned on a regular basis. 

  • Also inability to add garmin pay on Fenix 5 Plus. Just says 'device not connected' even when it is...don't even get to the point where i choose a card. Would be useful if you could download previous major versions of GC Mobile :(

  • This worked for me, it removed the red exclamation. Garmin Express gave me an error message stating my device was not compatible for segments, so I deleted them from the queue and now the sync is without the error.

  • Same issue here. GMC syncs just fine on the "home screen" but not and with a red exclamation mark under "devices". No real problem just irritating. However, another more important challenge is that my Fenix 6x stopped syncing Spotify playlists. Start at 0% and freezes. No progress and drains battery.

  • I was on with support and I have Sync working and Strava segments but it involves using Garmin Express 
    - Have Strava Live Segments enabled
    - Install Garmin Express (for me the mac version)

    - Sync both my fenix 6s and Garmin Edge 530 with Garmin Express (here I could see that the Strava segments were being sync'ed to my devices )

    Both my fenix and edge synced OK afterwards when sync'ing with Garmin Connect on my iPhone. I assume if I added a new stared Garmin segment I would have to use Garmin Express

    When I went for a run this morning the Strava segment showed up

    Assuming this issue is resolved with the latest version of Garmin Connect. Can you confirm?
