Vivoactive 3 not syncing

My vivoactive 3 is not completing syncing. I see this is a recognised issue and have followed the recommended steps of trying to sync on the app and using Garmin Express. Two cycling activities have uploaded in this way but not my steps etc. It’s a relatively minor issue but I’m on a 259 day streak with steps so would like not to lose data. Any tips welcome.
