Live event sharing for iOS?

Will Live Event Sharing be available for iOS?  I see it is only available for Android, and do not understand the limitation for iOS.

If LiveTrack was available by Text Messaging, that would solve the problem as well.  Strava can figure out how to do this, why not Garmin?

    Research answered my own question.  It is an iOS limitation.  Per DC Rainmaker, Apple does not allow 3rd party apps to send text messages as you.  Garmin would have to pay for a service (using Amazon or Azure).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDABQ7J6PvM

    That likely is the LiveTrack limitation as well for limiting to emails only and not text messags.

    Hopefully in a future iOS this will be something Apple will allow.
