Activity steps not logged on Venu

This morning I did a run and the activity tracking shows that I did 9916 steps during that run. Yet the Venu still says I have done less that 100 steps today. What’s wrong?

I have a similar issue. I do a run it shows up in miles and on the map. But my step count is zero. And I can no longer compete in step challenges—I am always a zero even though I walk 10k steps per day.
