iOS app stuck on initial "few questions will help you calculate"

I bought a swim 2 watch yesterday and although the watch works, the app on the phone is stuck on the screen "the next few questions will help calculate" etc. When I click "next", nothing happens. Any idea how to fix this?

I've already tried restarting, the app, the phone, nothing.

I just got a vivoactive 4, and had the same problem with the Garmin Connect app on IOS. I had already paired the vivoactive 4, so I did a "forget this device" in bluetooth, so that I could start over again…

unfortunately, I had tried this, didn't fix it

I suggest contacting Garmin directly using their Support Center.

I just got a vivoactive 4, and had the same problem with the Garmin Connect app on IOS. I had already paired the vivoactive 4, so I did a "forget this device" in bluetooth, so that I could start over again. I deleted and reinstalled the Garmin Connect app. After signing back into the Garmin Connect app, it began the process of setting up my vivoactive from the beginning. It had a problem pairing to bluetooth, but going into settings/phone on the vivoactive and pairing from there worked. I got a new code to use, and was able to finish the setup process through the Garmin Connect app without any issues. I hope that helps!

I had the same problem and i just deleted the app and redownloaded it and it worked fine
